Important Announcement:

 August 19 Face-to-Face Program Will Be Virtual

After careful consideration of the continuing developments surrounding the latest surge in COVID-19 cases, ACHE of Georgia’s board has decided to cancel our August 19 in-person lunch and learn at Maggiano’s. The session will now be offered as a virtual F2F program via Zoom at noon on August 19. The program topic, discussion, moderator, and panelists remain the same.

Anyone who has already registered for the August 19 in-person event at Maggiano’s will be given a complete refund of fees paid. To register for the virtual F2F program, which will offer 1.5 hours of ACHE F2F credit, click here.

“Leading a Culture of Safety: A Blueprint for Success”

August 19 In-Person Lunch and Learn Approved for 1.5 Hours of Virtual ACHE Face-to-Face Credit!

Medical errors are the third leading cause of death in the United States, with 220,000 to 440,000 people dying each year from preventable errors according to the Centers for  Disease Control and Prevention. Clinicians and hospital staff face a devastating impact as a result of being involved with a medical error especially in organizations without a support system in place.

In this session, panelists will discuss developing and sustaining the type of organizational culture needed to ensure patient and workforce safety and inspire healthcare leaders on the journey to zero harm.

Panelists Will Discuss:

  • Strategies and tactics to create a  foundation to support a culture of safety and to implement strategies to sustain safe healthcare delivery.
  • Analyzing systems issues to identify, correct, or prevent adverse events.
  • Challenges with implementing policies, training, or metrics associated with a  culture of safety.
  • Recognizing and celebrating those who have excelled in key safety behaviors.
