Eds and Meds Collaboration Is Critical to Metro Atlanta’s Economy and Public Health
The HBSCA Healthcare SIG and the Duke Atlanta Alumni Healthcare Cohort invite you to join us virtually or in-person for our next Evening Speaker Series with Sam Williams, Former President, Metro Atlanta Chamber.
Increased collaboration among Atlanta’s universities and hospitals—Eds & Meds—would greatly increase new research, startups and improved health practices for citizens. It would also spawn more job and economic development opportunities in an industry that, with over 340,000 jobs created, already makes a larger contribution to the metro Atlanta economy than all of its Fortune 500 headquarters. These anchor institutions, universities and hospitals, hidden in plain sight, many here for over a century, help define the culture, economy and reputation of Atlanta.
