About the Program
Join us via Zoom at noon on February 22 for a joint ACHE of Georgia/NAHSE Black History Month webinar on “Health Disparities in Georgia: How to Close the Cultural Gap.” Our guest speakers are Yolanda Wimberly, MD, MSc, Senior Vice President, Inaugural Chief Health Equity Officer, Grady Health System, and Jevon Gibson, CEO, Fulton-DeKalb Hospital Authority.

This session will chronicle the journey of an inaugural health equity office at Grady Health System. When it was formed in October 2021, Grady Health System’s Office of Health Equity committed itself to integrating comprehensive health equity into all Grady Health System operations. To do this effectively, the office would form coalitions to identify and combat structural inequities and address the impact of inequity on the Grady Health System, its people, and the communities it serves.

Grady Health System has begun the journey and will resolutely continue, striving to succeed through innovation and thoughtful, progressive actions.
